Welcome to La Flotte
Carol and Richard Borsey invite you to take a holiday at La Flotte, a tastefully restored Manor House and gites set amongst 16 acres of private grounds. We are in the heart of the micro climate of Charente Maritime with 2700 hours of sunshine a year and are surrounded by vineyards and sunflowers. Our property is located in a protected wildlife and wild flower reserve (a paradise for bird watchers and nature lovers) and the local countryside is ideal for cycling and walking.

Although La Flotte offers tranquility and breathtaking views, it is within minutes of shops, restaurants and the pretty harbour of Port Mortagne, and is also well placed for visits to Cognac, Saintes, Bordeaux etc. For the family holiday we have games facilities and loads of space for play. The nearest beaches at Meschers are just 15-20 minutes away. |
La Flotte may be reached within 4 hours or so from St Malo and is around an hour away from the airports at Bordeaux and La Rochelle served by the budget airlines such as Ryanair and flybe.

Good sandy beaches are only 15 minutes away and further sporting facilities are within easy reach (golf, tennis, horse riding, watersports, go-karting, sea and fresh water fishing).

We have four gites / cottages to let variously accommodating 2 to 6 people. All properties have their own garden areas with table and chairs and BBQ. Each kitchen includes hob, oven and microwave and all the usual crockery and implements. We have a separate laundry room with an automatic washing machine. |
